I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and graduated from The Ohio State University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. Right after graduating, I was hired at Minerva Local Schools to work as a middle and high school band and choir teacher.

While teaching, I served on the leadership team of my Local Ohio Education Association. Through this work, I was able to see firsthand how positive relationships between School Board members, school administrators, and school staff create a positive environment for students to learn and grow in.
During my teaching tenure, I also worked with community groups in many different ways. For example, I was able to contribute to community-led Veterans and Memorial Day services. I believe these types of community events cement the relationship between a school and the community it serves, and doing this type of work had a profound impact on my values as a teacher and community member.
I moved to Fairless in 2019, got married in 2020, and had my first daughter in the fall of 2021. In the spring of 2022, I made the difficult decision to resign from teaching and stay at home with her. Now, as my second baby is turning two years old, I am ready to contribute to my local public school community in a new way.
